EQUIPT makes fitness equipment you are not meant to put away. Weights finished like objects, built to sit on the shelf, the console table, the corner of the room you actually live in. The point is not decoration. The point is that a weight you can see is a weight you will pick up.
It started because she could not find one
I was a model turned soap opera actress, a lifetime spent moving my body. When I became a new mom there was no visual trigger to movement. Something that would inspire me to move my body, thus the Ubarre was born. A sexy weight that could live within arms reach whether I wanted to move for a minute or an hour. An obsession for creating beautiful fitness equipment was born with our Uwraps following, strapped on while chasing my daughter to this day. Fitness equipment that is made to bring more movement into life has become my obsession and thank you for sharing!
Kodi designed the Ubarre herself and patented it. One continuous piece of steel, the same eleven by fourteen inches at every weight, open enough to hold overhead, at the chest, or with both hands threaded through. A dumbbell, a kettlebell, a Pilates ring and a yoga block, depending on how you pick it up.
The Uwraps came next, for the hours that are not a workout. Vegan leather wrist and ankle weights light enough to wear through a flow, a walk, a school run, a workday. They remain our best seller.
We are advocates of movement
Cardio dance around the kitchen. Arm work from the desk. A plank between meetings. We do not believe a workout is defined by an hour in a gym or a particular set of abs. It is defined by you, by what makes you feel good, by the decision to get blood moving and give the mind and body something.
What we do believe is that design changes behavior. Equipment designed to be hidden gets hidden, and equipment that is hidden does not get used.

A family business
I am a mama to three kids, the packages are usually taped by my daughters. We are truly a family run business built on dreams and sweat. And love. And wine. And coffee. And of course...movement.
EQUIPT is designed in Los Angeles and run by a small team. The standards are set by people who use the products daily and who answer the emails themselves.

What began as a single object for one living room is now in studios and hotels around the world, including Canyon Ranch. Equipment that survives thirty classes a week holds up easily in a home, which is the standard we build to and the reason we are comfortable telling you to leave it out.
