The Ubarre is a U-shaped weight designed by EQUIPT founder Kodi Kitchen Berg and protected by patent. It is one continuous piece of solid steel that works as a dumbbell, a kettlebell, a Pilates ring and a yoga block, depending on how you hold it. Every weight is the same eleven by fourteen inches, so a single Ubarre and a stack of four look equally intentional on a shelf.

It comes in 4, 8, 12 and 16 pounds and in five finishes: Midnight Black, Gold, Charcoal, White and Burnt Brass.

Uwraps are vegan leather wrist and ankle weights, sold as a pair, in 1.5 pounds and 3 pounds. The vegan leather is made from post consumer water bottles, they fasten with commercial-grade velcro, and every seam is finished with military-grade stitching. They are built to be worn through a yoga flow, a walk, a school run or a workday rather than only during a scheduled workout.

They are our best seller, and the 1.5 pound pair is where most people start.

Three ways. Grip, because the open U lets you hold it overhead, at the chest, by one arm or with both hands threaded through, which a fixed dumbbell handle will not allow. Range, because the shape lets you press, curl, swing, twist and stretch with one object instead of three. And placement, because it is finished to be left out on a shelf or a coffee table rather than stored in a closet.

That last point is the whole idea. When you do not have to hide your weights, you reach for them.

The Ubarre is solid steel with a hand-applied finish. It is weighted with metal rather than sand, so it will not shift, settle or leak over time.

If you are new to strength work, start at 4 or 8 pounds. If you already train regularly, 12 pounds is the common starting point and 16 pounds is the heaviest we make.

Most people buy one weight and want the next one up within a month or two, which is why we sell the Ubarre Pair. Buying two at once costs less than buying twice.

Choose 1.5 pounds if you want to wear them for long stretches, through a flow, a walk or a normal day. That is the pair most people buy first and the one most people keep reaching for.

Choose 3 pounds if you want the weight to register as training, in shorter and more deliberate sessions, or if you already own the 1.5 pair and want more load.

Yes. The same pair is made to work on either. The closure adjusts across a wide range, so one size fits most wrists and ankles.

They add resistance to movement you are already doing, which increases the demand on the muscles doing it. Worn during low-intensity movement like walking, stretching or a flow, that added load accumulates across the day rather than arriving in one session.

They are not a replacement for progressive strength training and we will not pretend otherwise. They are a way to make ordinary movement count for more, which for most people is the difference between training sometimes and moving constantly.

The concern people raise comes from running or doing high-impact, high-repetition work in heavy ankle weights, where the added load changes your gait and puts repeated strain on the knee joint.

Uwraps are deliberately light for that reason. Worn at 1.5 or 3 pounds during walking, stretching, Pilates, barre or floor work, they are widely considered appropriate for healthy adults. We do not recommend running in them. If you have an existing knee, hip or back condition, or you are pregnant or postpartum, speak to your physician or physical therapist before adding load. Start with twenty to thirty minutes and build from there. Plenty of customers wear the 1.5 pound pair for hours at a time, but your body should set that pace, not a rule on a website. Take them off if you notice your form changing, your gait shortening or any joint discomfort.

Yes, and that is largely how it was designed to be used. Hold it like a Pilates ring for inner thigh and chest work, use it as a block for support in a seated stretch, press it overhead in a barre sequence, or swing it like a kettlebell. Kodi came out of the barre studio world and built the shape around those movements.

Yes. There are guided sessions and short movement ideas on our Workouts page and across our Instagram, including our recurring Minute Moves format: one swap, one reason, under sixty seconds.

Wipe the vegan leather with a damp cloth and let them air dry fully before storing. Do not machine wash, do not soak, and do not put them in a dryer or on a radiator.

For a deeper clean between sessions we make a Uwrap Cleaning Spray formulated not to dry out or discolor the material.

Normal soap and water will do it. Dry it afterwards rather than leaving it wet, and it will keep its finish.

The material, the commercial-grade velcro and the military-grade stitching were chosen to survive commercial use, which is why Uwraps hold up in studios running classes all week. Sweat is expected and is not a problem. What shortens the life of any vegan leather is being stored damp, so wipe them down and let them dry.

Yes. Uwraps bought on equiptmovement.com carry a 12 month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, including stitching and closures, starting from the delivery date.

To make a claim, email info@equiptmovement.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. Normal wear, misuse and damage from not following the care instructions are not covered.

Standard shipping within the United States is free on orders over $100 and a $9.99 flat rate on orders at or under $100.

International shipping is a $49 flat rate to every country we serve.

Orders typically leave our Los Angeles studio within one to two business days. Domestic delivery usually takes a further three to seven business days depending on your address. International delivery times vary by destination and customs.

You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

Yes, we ship worldwide at a $49 flat rate.

Any import duties, customs fees or local taxes are set by your country and are the responsibility of the recipient. They are not included in the price you pay us and we cannot estimate them in advance.

Email info@equiptmovement.com as quickly as you can. If the order has not been picked and packed we can almost always update it. Once it has shipped we cannot reroute it.

You have 30 days from the delivery date to request a return. Items must be unused, in the condition you received them and in their original packaging. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Outbound shipping charges are not refunded and return shipping is the customer's responsibility.

Yes, within the same 30 day window and subject to the same condition requirements. Email info@equiptmovement.com with your order number and the weight or color you would prefer, and we will send instructions.

Email info@equiptmovement.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the item and the packaging. Damage in transit and manufacturing defects are our responsibility and we will replace or refund the item.

Wholesale Uwraps are covered against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months in non-heated rooms and 6 months in heated rooms, such as hot yoga, hot Pilates, infrared and sauna spaces. Heat and sweat at those temperatures put more stress on any material, so the window is shorter there.
