This weekend, EQUIPT brought its signature blend of sculpt, style, and wellness to Mattei’s Tavern, part of the Auberge Resorts Collection in Santa Ynez. When we were introduced to Meredith from Palma Collective and saw what she was up to we immediately said YES please to being a part. Intentional, thoughtful, rooted in movement, connection and true wellness? I mean we are in.
The event was held in the spa at Mattei's which lent itself to the most perfect temperature in the air as the hot tub was ready for us after. The class was led by Jessica Gershman aka Zen Mommy and she is so inventive with the moves using equipt! We had a mix of 4 and 8 lb ubarres as well as 3 lb U wraps (new color dropping in these this wk!)
Here are 5 of the take home moves we are doing on repeat.
- Reach for it Lunge Series. 30 seconds each side 3x over. Active squeeze of the Ubarre Reaching forward, up, into the chest (elbows close to the body to activate the lats) because your sexy weight should be multi functional!
2. Repeating on the Single Leg Lunge series (option to add a pulse) Core twist! Turn towards the leg reaching forward.
3. Take it to the floor! Oblique crunch w single arm raised, try to not let the Ubarre wobble too much (which means you are working on control rather than momentum!)
4. Bring it into the chest for little side crunches active squeeze on the Ubarre.
5. Bridge with the added weight! You've got those 3 lb Uwrap ankle weights on, make this move even harder by adding a standing leg march into the bridge.
So many amazing moves out of each event, Jessica is doing full videos with EQUIPT soon to bring you even more into the comfort of your own home. Or hotel. Or gym. Ok you get it. I'll stop.
